coming to therapy is
an act of bravery

I imagine you have found yourself here because you are experiencing pain, struggle or confusion.

In therapy, you are acknowledging your struggles, you are showing up wanting to actively work through them. You are trusting someone with your vulnerability. This takes courage, and intentionality.

In my office, you can show up exactly as you are: anxious, heartbroken, enraged, confused, lonely, depressed, unsure, regretful. I am fully committed to providing a safe holding space for you; a space without judgement, a space without expectations.

I will meet you exactly where you are at and support you in growing towards where you want to go.

I am a U.S.-trained Registered Psychologist (Singapore), with over a decade of clinical experience in a variety of international settings such as The Awakening Center (Chicago, U.S.A.), Concordia Counselling (Vancouver, Canada) and KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital (Singapore). I attained a Masters in Counselling Psychology (with distinction) from Northwestern University and have received extensive training in evidenced-based, trauma-informed modalities. Read about my therapeutic modalities here.

Previously, I was a brand strategist in Asia-Pacific’s largest advertising agency. Therefore I bring to my clinical work sensitivity and insight into the pressures of the business world, as well as a true understanding of the challenges of career transitions.

I hold memberships with the American Psychological Association and the Singapore Psychological Society and adhere to the ethical codes of both.

The time I spent with at-risk, underprivileged children and adolescents in Thailand was the inspiration behind the pursuit of counselling as a pathway to integrated wholeness. My approach is mainly person-centered, with a strong emphasis on providing a safe space for authentic connection and empathetic listening. I want to be intentionally explorative and collaborative in working with you towards your desired outcome.

I will be your biggest advocate towards building stronger emotional resilience, and a deeper understanding of your own strengths and capabilities. I provide individual psychotherapy for children, teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and issues of personhood. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling, and am a provisional member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).

My work is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Choice Theory & Reality Therapy (CTRT), Narrative Therapy (NT), and I am also able to employ the use of Theraplay® principles when beneficial to the client.
